A ghost inside my RSW-15 ?

I have an RSW-15 for about 2 weeks now. My music room is fairly big and I usually put the volume level of the RSW to around 11'o clock. However, after listening for a while to several loud music or movies with loud bass, I noticed the volume knob on the RSW changed to 3'o clock position, increasing the bass volume even more. It happened a lot of times. Would it be possible that the sub vibration caused the knob to turn by itself? Or would anybody recommend a ghostbuster?

Did you ever turn it to 11 o'clock and then let it sit for a couple days or so to see if it turns on its own with out the sub playing. Cause if it does that maybe there is a spring or something that keeps making it turn that needs to be fixed. Or else if it only does it when it is playing yes it could be a ghost, the vibration, or a pissed off neighbor at the the bass your producing. Maybe if you want you could put a piece of electical tape on it because that won't leave marks and it will keep the volume from turning. I do that if I have a party to try to keep people from cranking the volume up all the way. Hope you solve you problem or get the ghost.

I like my bass like I like my women, deep and tight.

11 O clock,3 O clock

Lotsa clocks, its time to e-mail Klipsch or contact your Klipsch dealer.

My RSW10 volume stays in place, does not change by itself, the knob should not rotate by itself, even with the sub blasting at full tilt.

Oups time to go back to work Smile.gif

You're either generating some lively movement with the sub of the volume knob could be loose. My guess would lean towards the second possibility. You might want to contact the dealer you purchased it from and have them look at it for you.

The knob would have to be loose only one way then. If the knob sat at 11 o'clock, and it were to fall, it only seems logical that it would fall the other way. In other words it has to go UP past 12 o'clock before it could start to fall. Follow me? So it would have to be loose only in the clockwise posistion, otherwise it would have fell counterclockwise towards the six o'clock posistion. I could be wrong though, just a guess. Does it feel tighter going one way than the other when you move it with your finger? Sure you or someone else didnt just move it?
