tom b. 57
I just picked up a 930 and have been running it now for about 3 hours and am happy to say, Yeah Baby! This thing sounds great. I have owned a couple of 430's in the past and have been happy with them but always pined after a 930. I might hang onto this one. tom b. 57
Dennie No camera at the moment. I can tell you that it is not a museum piece, but is presentable and seems to work fine. Tom

Seadog
So, how does it sound compared to the 430?
tom b. 57
So, how does it sound compared to the 430? It's been awhile since I had a 430. I believe the sound of this 930 seems to be very similar but with a little more authority and weight. Then again, it might just be me thinking it has more weight and authority with complex passages. All I know for sure is I like what I hear. Tom
tom b. 57
Weight and authority? I think I have been reading too many audio magazines. Tom

I thought it a nice change on the 930 (that I wish I still had [] ) Happy listening.
Seadog
Probably about 10 or 15 pounds more weight ;-)

Moderators dtel Posted December 13, 2010 Moderators Share Posted December 13, 2010 I love the sound of the HK 930, it's connected to some Cornwall's, where it's at I can not connect an antenna, but it sounds great with a CD player. I can and have disconnected it and connect a htr and the sound just goes flat and dull sounding, not even close.
