reddart
My simple system is a Dynaco ST70 with a curcio front end and PS, Adcom GTP-450 pre, and a pair of 1976 Heresys. Not desiring home theater explosive rumbles, just want to extend deeper but tight bass for music. What would be some sub options, as well as the best way to hook it up with my system (no aux outputs or extra speaker outs)? Thanks.
BigCliff
I use this one with my Fortes. http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/stf-2.html This is economical and I believe works great. You can hook it up via your speaker wires and it has speaker wire outputs to run to your Hereseys. There are many other options but I am happy with my HSU STF-2. edwinr
There's no need to spend big money ob subs. Especially when Klipsch offer so many inexpensive good sounding options. My personal favorite budget sub is the SW-450 which kind of replaces the Sub-12. It goes very loud and has great punch. It will match nicely with the Heresys. Ironsave
Welcome to The Forum...... See my signature. I believe the Emotiva Ultra 12 is one of the best bang for buck options available. Since it is sealed; it is very musical; and tight....... I believe there is a 30 day refund if not happy....... Good Luck.
