Mlstrass
Received my "scratch & dent" KLF-10 today and while inspecting noticed the circuit board broke off the screw mounts. I'm sure I can glue it back together, but one other issue: there's a round thing with very small red wiring(not sure what to call it), one end of the wire goes through a hole in the CB and is soldered to it. The other end appears to have been broken off of wherever it was attached to. Any idea where the other end goes?? Is this fixable?? Would like to try and fix it before buying a new X-over if possible. TIA...Mike
Mighty Favog
That round thing with the red wire is called a coil. You can probably talk to Trey at tech support to find out where it goes. ------------------ Tom's Money Pit
Mlstrass
tblasing, Thanks for providing the proper terminology. I'll call Trey tomorrow. Also need to order a set of bucking magnets.
WMcD
It seems that one end of the "coil" or "inductor" has broken loose. If you don't have soldering skills the only recourse may be a new unit. On the other hand, I don't know if the cross over has push on connections allowing replacement as a whole without soldering skills. You and Trey can work it out though. Mlstrass
I ended up ordering a new one as it was only $28. Also besides the loose wire all 4 corners were broken off the screw mounts. I'll have the KLF-10 Center channel done tonight, minus the magnets/x-over. Thanks...Mike
