m00n
Whats an IEEE card? Never heard of one. Ok I guess considering the system you got, the price was justified. I am running a P4 1.7 with 256 RDRAM. ------------------ m00n
bensilb
I thought I would step it up a notch, so I wouldn't have to buy a new one for a while. In IEEE card allows you to edit movies from your video camera and put them on cds Haven't even used it yet LOL ------------------ Sony Trinitron 27" TV Yamaha RX-V1000 JVC HR-S3800 Super VHS VCR Sony DVP-S530D DVD Player Sony TC-WE425 Tape Sony CDP-CE345 Cd player RF-3 Main Monster m1.4 Biwire Cables RC-3 Center RS-3 Rear (Just upgraded the SS-1)

bensilb
That's funny. When my dad started talking about a home theatre, my stepmother said, "what do we that for?" Now they have about 50 DVDs and she loves it. My dad and stepmom said a DVD player was a poor investment when I bought my first one. It cost over 500 dollars. Now look, they are so inexpensive for entry level. I saw one at Walmart for $120. I now have a collection of 140 DVDs. Every Tuesday when the new releases are available it grows. I should have about 1000 by the time I'm 30. (I am 21 now) This is my advice to win your wife over. Play her music when you are setting it up. She'll be won over. Its so much fun. My system is on every minute I am home. The speakers on my TV are actualy shut off. All video and sound goes through my reciever. ------------------ Sony Trinitron 27" TV Yamaha RX-V1000 JVC HR-S3800 Super VHS VCR Sony DVP-S530D DVD Player Sony TC-WE425 Tape Sony CDP-CE345 Cd player RF-3 Main Monster m1.4 Biwire Cables RC-3 Center RS-3 Rear (Just upgraded the SS-1)

guitarizt
What does it mean when the power rating is 75x5? Shouldn't it be 75x7 for the avr 320?
ShapeShifter
If it's a 6.1 or 7.1 channel receiver with 75Watts X 5 Channels. That would imply that 5 channels have internal amplification and 2 are unamplified. One would need to buy powered speakers or additional amps to run non-powered speakers for the two non-amplified channels. The .1 or LFE channel in usually non-amplified as well.
