Paint

I just scored some chorus II's for my second home. They are a little cosmetically challenged but no gouges so I'm asking about the latest consensus on black paint to rejuvenate the original black finish. When I searched the thread was fairly old. Thanks for any help.

The factory used (and still does) Valspar, #40 sheen, semi-gloss lacquer, with a clear coat (Valspar #40 sheen, semi gloss). It's a pain, but can be done if you have the time and the "gun".... Great thread Marshall. I don't have a lot of time at any one time (or the tools) to do that thorough of a job. The backs and fronts are fine. Any ideas on a less than stellar but nice enough job (shortcuts)? I'm thinking maybe sanding, probably not completely down to the raw veneer but smooth to take a respray and re-top coat?
