Guest David H
Recently I purchased a Jolida 502B, because I couldn't beat the price. Thanks to "Brown" the amp suffered a bit of damage to the faceplate, controls and stripped the screw out of the transformer cover. I had already planned to bypass the factory installed passive preamp and updrade a few caps and resistors, but the damage opened up another avenue for upgrades. Guest David H
The cap upgrades on this unit could not be easier. I chose the Dayton film and foil caps for the Jolida, because I didnt want to spend more on caps then I did for the amplifier, and the Daytons have always performed well for me. Because I am removing the passive preamp, I used Dale audio grade resistors to set the gain.

Guest David H
New Oak face plate and transformer cover sides, Preamp delete and a fresh set of Valve Art KT-88's. I am very impressed with the sound of this low $$$ amp, it is easily comparable to my overhauled and updated Dynaco MKIII's
Guest David H
I had originally planned to transplant the power switch to the new faceplate, but like the blank face, so I moved the power switch to the side of the amp. Dave

Guest David H
I purchased this amp used on Audiogon. I would think Audiogon or Ebay would be your best bet. Dave
