My 708 allows for bi-amping of the two front speakers. You bi-amp with the front high or front wide, but you then can not use a traditional 7.1 system (only 5.1). I'll agree with the above that you will likely not get better sound by bi-amping as you end up taxing your receiver more than anything.

biamping for the sake of sound quality is one thing but if you are biamping for additional power, that is a good thing, especially from a receiver since they are in most cases underpowered with all channels driven. It helps in the low end to have that extra power. I dont know what you HT consists of but it may or may not be benefical.

Just read up on the biamping option. You can route two sets of speaker wire to each speaker using the mains terminals as well as a set of rear channel terminals. In my 707 it's under the basic speaker setup section.

I don't believe there is an actual bridging option though.
