  1. Keep in mind there are still very few blue rays out there with atmos mastered audio. I was in the same boat. I will go the atmos route once there are more title with it.
  2. A good match will be hard to come by as most centers are 2way and chorus are 3 way. You might look at building a custom center with chorus horns with two 6" driver's out of kg1s
  3. Thanks Bill that was the answer I was looking for. I was worried not having fl-fr wired up would burn something up.
  4. I have a few older but very strong receivers laying around. I was think I g of using the pre outs on my new avr to get the stereo 2 channel power off the older amp. Will not having main left right hooked up hurt my new avr?
  5. Rf7ii and rc64ii front stage. Looking to upgrade the kg4s. Interested in small towers, book shelf or upgrading the horns in the 4s to titanium diaphriam on the kg4s. All options and and opinions welcome.
  6. Well I do not use them as presence speakers. They will be driven by the main l/r channel.
  7. Hey gang. I am looking for a set of black rb75s to match up with my new rf7ii. Let me know if you have a set within a few hundred miles of central IL.
  8. I was wanting a matching horn and 10" woofer. Trying to figure out the rf7ii throw on the driver so I could get the specs for cabinet harmonics volume and port size. The crossover is where I am hung up.
  9. I use a rc64ii for center. These would not be presence speakers. They would be driven by the same main l/r signal. Basicly I would like to make a nod for a horn and 10" woofer. Basically a bookshelf version of an rf7.
  10. So I have been running kg4s and kg 2.5s off the same channel for some time now, with two amps. Recently upgraded to rf7ii, I was contemplating a build of an rf7 horn and one 10" woofer in a custom cabinet. My biggest concern was a proper crossover. This would allow for a perfect match to my towers for the height speakers. Anyone have any insight on how I could make this build work?
  11. Onkyo rz810, $699 shipped from crutchfield while supplies last. Clearing inventory for the new model.
  12. Hey Guys been a while since i have posted. I am excited about my new RF7ii being delivered Thursday. I have a new Onkyo 810 coming in as well. I noticed that this receiver has preamp out on it. My 807 has a bricked hdmi board, so the ask is, if i use the preamp outs of the 810 to the CD input of the 807 and set the volume to 0 in stereo pure audio mode, would this serve as an adequate biamp?
  13. ok awsome set ups gang just wow so many systems i would love to come hear a few of them. So his is the first forum i have tried to start keeping up with... and have come to the realization i have no idea how to post a pick. Sad yes but i have pics on my phone but cant seem to figure out how to attach it. If anyone could help me out would be awsome. Try not to make too much fun of me... if you can't contain yourself though i understand. LOL thanks
  14. Bi amping requires compatible speakers i belive... ill look when it gets here
  15. System build in Sig now... Onkyo here on friday wanted to bridge two channels of it to the KG4s
  16. Hey gang. I was wanting to upgrade my KV1 center channel but having trouble find a good match that with keep up with my system. I was think of get two more kg2.5s and going one above the T.V. and one below. but then it i thought maybe if i found a cross over two woofers and the horn from a single KG4 and build my own enclosure. I have all the tools needed to do the job right but i am clueless to how to come up with cab size becuase of the passive radiator in the KG4. I would think a ported cab would be ok but not sure. If anyone has some input on this or even other sugjestions or just stick with the two KG2.5s high and low idea. Any and all input welcome. Thanks in advance.
  17. Was just wondering if the 807 has the capablity to bridge 2 amp sections to one speaker i tried to google and couldn't find much on the topic. i dont think i will need to but would still like to know if its an option or not
  18. Thanks for the input everyone. and Stephen thanks going to go with the 807 good fit for my budget and should put my old avr 520 to shame. should be hear friday so ill start up a new thread on how i like it saturday after some fun with it. Will probly have a few questions for some of the new features.
  19. I still use KG4s for my main speakers... and with KG1s as rear surround. My system is set up differnt from most but these speakers deffinatly hold center stage. IMO KGs are a good speaker allround bythem selves but when you add a set of KG2.5 above them the two speakers together make for one Hell of a set up. As for a $400 dollar price tag i would say a fair deal if they were all in mint condition. if not off him 300 and smile all they way till your first test you wont be dissipointed cant go wrong with a kg4
  20. You think the factory refurb is sound?... im looking really hard at the 807 at $525 shipped its making me salivate a little.
