JasonJCarney
RS-*1 ...... vs RS-*2..... why does klipsch make the 1's? Is there some benefit of having only 1 woofer vice 2? Is it just a money thing? You know hitting a different price point kinda thing? Or do they each serve a different purpose? I'm in the market for new surrounds thus the questions. Thx
willland
Jason, The RS-41II is a carry-over design(2 tweeters, 1 center woofer) from the Reference III speakers like my RS-35 for example. Even though my RS-35's mate very well with my RF-63/RC-64 combo(all 6.5 in woofers), the better designed RS-62(2 tweeter, 2 woofers), would be an ideal surround for my setup. If I was you, I would choose any of the models from the RS-42 on up. With the extra woofer, they do provide a noticeably fuller sound, IMO. BluBitRates
Rs-41 is a less powerful speaker for some of the smaller speakers in the reference line. Dropping a woofer probably allows them to sell it for as cheap as they do

I very much prefer this approach in an HT setting.
