I may have missed it, but didn't see a decibel reduction figure. Bose claims 15 db for theirs and I think Sennheiser does, too, for its noise-cancelling phones. While I don't think 15 db is very much, it's probably about right for aricraft noise reduction and [edit:] isolating it from the music.

For a comparison, shooters' over-ear ear protection phones often claim 29 db. That's pretty strong, probably too much isolation for most on long flights. I find it OK for my Meniere's and tinnitus hyperacusis.

I should have added that I've not seen -29 db phones with jacks and cords to pick up music.

The 15-db phones do a good job of reducing aircraft noise and letting you listen to music instead. I hope I didnt mislead anyone on that point. They just aren't as super quieting as the -29 db jobs, which is important for my hyperacusis.

Klipsch quality should really shine with these.
