Brunt
Hello there, I just purchased a pair of RS-3's from Craigslist that were brand new in the box. I was stoked...until I realized sound is NOT emitting from the right side tweeter on both speakers. No matter the source, test tone, music, movie...the right hand tweeter on each surround is producing no sound...any ideas guys?

Brunt
Maybe internal wiring isn't all together...will check that but any other suggestions would be great.
michael hurd
Check the binding post straps and that the nuts are tight on the back. Chances are that either that or one of the wires shook off the spade terminal on the rear of the tweeter during shipping. Edit: I thought that they were RF3's..... sorry. You may still have a wiring issue to one of the woofers, but I don't believe that there is binding post straps like on the floorstanders. If you remove both tweeters, you could swap the non working one for the one that works and test. If the problem follows the tweeter, there is an issue. gagelle
My AVR has a built in equalizer that I disabled on a menu screen. I was thinking that it's possible on your AVR that the high end is turned down below 0 on one channel.

Can't think of anything else right now...
JasonJCarney
Brunt didn't update but he did end up having 2 blown tweeters. He replaced them from Klipsch and everything is up and running now.
