Those onkyo's don't have rca preouts correct? Will you ever want a seperate amp in the future? I had the onkyo 608...it's a nice unit but I upgraded a year later to get preouts. Go to assesories4less and look there for some further options if you are at all worried about network connectivity or preouts. If you want me to pick 1 of those options I would pick the 2 608's cause those are what I know.

What's your system, and what do you need from your AVR? You don't HAVE to have two sub pre-outs to run two subs. You just need a Y-splitter. In general, both the Yamaha and the Onkyo are good AVRs and will run most Klipsch systems just fine. What specific functions and/or what uses do you have planned for your HTs?

Decided Option One for my two room upgrades. Needed 3D in both room in the near future. Plus the network connectivity and PC output on the Onkyo NR609.
