TurboGen
I have Onkyo TX-SR875 receiver and the sound does not match the picture. Message displays on receiver when I change sources... Something about "norm dial (- 4db)" The message is something similar to that.. I can't remember exactly. I've looked in my manual for long time and can't seem to find anything regarding it... Any help?
Schu
are you simpley talking about a timing issue, or is it a completely different sound coming out when compared to the images?
TurboGen
Timing. The sound is slighty behind the picture. When I turn my tv volume up (both sounds on) the receiver's sound is behind/slower than the tv sound. I know it's not "lip sync" I just can't seem to find dialogue settings.. We have similar issue, when both TV and Amp are playing the content. Amp is lagging as it's 2nd in the processing channel...It's very noticeble when both TV and Amp volumes are up and creating a echo kind of effect...But it's very minimal to an extent that can be ignored, when only Amp's volume is up and TV is muted. Although, I have seen a setting in the amp, haven't changed it as of now. It's a seperate setting than the lip-sync setting. Being a Denon amp, can't speak about Onkyo... MikeFord
I suspect you need to carefully follow the manual for the full setup procedure, something basic seems wrong. Make sure your actual wired speaker arrangement matches what you have selected on the reciever.
