Taff Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 Just recieved my S4i headphones, bought via genuine Amazon seller. On my Samsung Brooklyn, I can only hear vocals on music tracks by holding down the microphone button (it's interesting to hear instrumental versions of my favourite tracks.) WMcD Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 Did someone tell you the S4i is compatible with the Brooklyn? It seems to me the S4i is made for Apple i-Phones. The S4A is designed for Android systems. Looking around, the Booklyn is not running Android. Does it have an optional mic / headphone combo? Let me suggest the obvious. Check with the dealer. It might be that the S4A will work. I hope the dealer will let you return your S4i and send an S4A to try. Maybe it will work without the microphone function and then you'll be ready when you upgrade the phone. It could be that you'll have to use a regular S4 without a microphone. At least on my HTC Android, the microphone in the phone works when you have the earphones plugged in. I don't really need the microphone, I was only interested in a reasonable quality earbud, and with the mike switch down it certainly gives that. I'm happy to have it taped.
