orrb_05
I currently use the Onkyo and have been eye-balling the Pioneer SC-27. My concern is that it may just be a horizontal move, thus a waste of funds. I would not use any video processing - 50/50 for Ht and music - powering RB-81, RC-62, and RS-62. wuzzzer
If your speakers were more power hungry I'd suggest an external amp versus switching out receivers. Your 805 is one of the best receivers ever built for home theater.

jhoak
As wuzzer said... Keep the 805 and add an external amp if you feel that you're missing something. That said you'll need to go pretty big amp wize to beat the amps in the 805. It's a brute when it comes to power. WAY over-engineered. I sold my 805 to get one of the newer Onkyos with network streaming. HUGE mistake. If I were to go back to a multi-channel system (I'm 2.1 only right now) an 805 would be on the top of my shopping list. They're getting harder and harder to find. I think folks are figuring out just how good they are.
orrb_05
Thanks folks - that's what I wanted to hear. I was curious as to if the ICEamps would be a better power source in keeping with an all-in-one (receiver), but the replies confirm that I would be spending money where it's not necessary.
