Khodabear
One could just imagine a gauzy photo montage of a guy in a nice restaurant sitting across from a ...Heresy. But no..my question pertains to the Heresy's I just bought today. I know...this makes 2 pair. 1's and these - what should be - 2's. It's just two pair of Klipsch I don't see why that means I have Klipsch issues. But to the point...The SN is 19884 - I've tried to match that up to the number guide but it doesn't work. It doesn't matter all that much because they work well and I'll enjoy them, but it would be nice to know the details. I've attached a photo of the tag. Thanks, as always, for any help! Khodabear
Ok - yes - in the interest of helping me learn to fish I'd sure like to know how to decipher that :~)

Khodabear
:~) I tried working with the S/N charts but these just don't seem to match as they did for my Heresy 1's.
fini
1990 of course we will be waiting for Fini to work his magic on this one Heresys aren't my type. I prefer models with rear ports.

Khodabear
Ummm...so nobody can help me understand how these numbers relate to the S/N number charts? Ok - well - as was said - just enjoy them. I thought I had a clue by the copyright date on the tag, but then there's a later copyright date on the terminal panel. colterphoto1
somewhere around here is a massive historical document on Klipsch Heritage speakers by Groomlakearea51. It's far more comprehensive than the simple S/N chart used by many.
Budman
i think the P/N & S/N numbers are in the wrong place. the serial numbers 090 dictate they were made in 1990 we need other heresy owners from that year to post some pics to see if this is the case. According to this, the speaker you've shown was the 4th to be made on January 19, 1988. DATES DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE 1990-1997 DOYY2Y1#### 135791234 1. DOY = day of the year (e.g. 135 = 14 May) 2. Y2Y1 = 2nd digit of year, 1st digit of year (e.g. 79 =1997)
Khodabear
Thanks!! I guess I'm just too dense to understand how a serial number of 19884 deciphers to 1988 January 19th, based on the examples. But it's time to stop beating this horse. Khodabear
Thanks. I have been up and down that post trying to align the information with my S/N My number is 5 digits long. The examples and breakdown(s) all call for 8 or 9 digits
fini
Khoda.... Take a look at: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/103886.aspx That's the same as my link above. Marshall, how would you date these particular speakers? I'm stumped!
Groomlakearea51
For some reason, they left the 090 off the first part of the S/N. The part number is a 1990 part number.
