Kain
Hi there. I just wanted to ask how do you like your RSW-12? Does it provide more than enough bass? How big of a room are you using it in? Thanks! ------------------ Coming soon... m00n
I love it. I have a weird living room so it's hard to explain or tell you how big it is. Not only that, I have a vaulted ceiling. Non the less, YES, it provided me with a LOT of boom. With that being said, in my doghouse out back where I am planning on building my cinema (if all goes well) I am thinking about building right into the framework of the floor risers, a sonatube sub. This would give me some serious vibrations. I am not sure how I would position it. I have thought about positioning it where the tube is horizontal to the riser flooring but underneith attatched to the framing such that the sound bounces off the walls, or I have thought about having the tube perpindicular to the floor and have the sound bounce off the floor underneith the riser floor. I know it's hard to picture this. I draw up a picture at lunch and post it so you can get a better idea of what I am talking about. Anyway, YES, I love my RSW-12 ------------------ the m00n system FRONTS: RF-7 CENTER: RC-7 SURROUNDS: RS-7 SUB: RSW-12 RECEIVER: Harman Kardon AVR 520 DVD: Toshiba SD 3205 (DD, DTS) TV: Samsung 27" Flatscreen COMPUTER: ProMedia 4.1 c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
m00n
Ok here is a link to a page that has some crude drawings on it. I will try and keep this URL updated. As soon as I can get some PICS, I will try and post them on this page. Also, if you all want to try and post some pics, but are screwed because of size limitations, send them to me and I will host images for you all. Anyway. Here is the link. m00n
hehe. Ya, I agree I do consider myself very lucky to have this building outside my house. Such a perfect place to put my stuff. Now I have another same size through that door, however that room is NOT vaulted. Same dimensions though. ------------------ the m00n system FRONTS: RF-7 CENTER: RC-7 SURROUNDS: RS-7 SUB: RSW-12 RECEIVER: Harman Kardon AVR 520 DVD: Toshiba SD 3205 (DD, DTS) TV: Samsung 27" Flatscreen COMPUTER: ProMedia 4.1 c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
NOZ
Hey mOOn, I got my RC-7 and RS-7's to complete the set.(sub RSW-15 soon). You got your speakers balanced, just wondering if you could let me know the settings that you are at on the AVR520, eg LFRONT + or - etc... I have the AVR7000 and would like to set up the same way. I have it all balanced at 0 now. If you could let me know it would be greatly appreciated. thanks Sean
m00n
NOZ, sure no problem. I can post that information later this evening when I get off work. But you do realize that my environment most likely is nothing like yours, thus, your levels will need to be different than mine. But sure no problem at all. ------------------ the m00n system FRONTS: RF-7 CENTER: RC-7 SURROUNDS: RS-7 SUB: RSW-12 RECEIVER: Harman Kardon AVR 520 DVD: Toshiba SD 3205 (DD, DTS) TV: Samsung 27" Flatscreen COMPUTER: ProMedia 4.1 c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
NOZ
mOOn, that would be great. My set-up is very similar to your's, I am building a theater room in the back of the house. 19' x 16' , same vaulted ceiling. I didn't want the vaulted ceiling, but the wife wants it.(oh, it will look so beautiful), well she let me buy the 7's so she's not so bad. thanks Sean
