Thaddeus Smith
The preggo didn't feel much like going out last night so I picked up Gabriel's new concert bluray for us to enjoy (she's a big fan). Turned off the lights, cranked it up to reference levels (85db, right?) and felt like we were there. The orchestra was fantastic and even though he's getting old and has all of his weird between song speeches, he still sounded great. Can't wait to get my sub in the system and re-watch the whole thing.
willland
I got this BD concert a couple of months ago and I have totally enjoyed it. No drum kit, guitar or bass. After ownig the "Secret World" DVD concert from the mid 90's(great sound, aweful video), I had to get this one. Turned off the lights, cranked it up to reference levels (85db, right?) and felt like we were there. My opinion also, awesome soundstage. The orchestra was fantastic and even though he's getting old and has all of his weird between song speeches, he still sounded great I don't think his voice has aged a bit, maybe lossed 1/4 octave off top of range but tonally very sound(pardon the pun). Can't wait to get my sub in the system and re-watch the whole thing Great bass content with his music and a sub really makes it shine.
