tpearl
Just got this sub a few days ago.... Do I need a special jack to run from my single LFE (Yamaha Receiver) to the left input on my subwoofer?? If not, I am not getting any response to my sub. All of my other Klipsch speakers sound amazing. I am running a HDMI from Blu-ray to reciever. My receiver shows that the subwoofer is on. Any suggestions?? CECAA850
A single RCA cable is all that's necessary. Have you double checked all your receivers settings (speakers set to small, sub= yes, etc)?

CECAA850
EDIT Are there any subwoofer settings in your player? Are you hooked to the sub OUTput on the receiver (not the input).
tpearl
It sounds as if the cable is not an issue....Darn... I will recheck my speaker settings in the receiver again. Thanks
tpearl
There are some sound system settings in the player that I will recheck. I did hooked my Iphone thru the receiver and played music thru it and did not get any sub activity. I am using the sub out.....I dont think I saw a sub in..... CECAA850
Do you have a CD or DVD player with a sub out? If so, hook that to the sub and see if you get sound. That would eliminate the sub itself as a problem if you get sound.
CECAA850
Is the gain all the way up?
Utard
I had a kind of similar problem with mine. I had sub working with movies but not music. My receiver was setup with the sub ON. But what I figured out is that with the the receiver set to sub ON it only sent sound to the sub with 5.1 /7.1 sound. Not 2.1 sound. I figured out the receiver has 3 sub settings. Off/On/Plus. When I put it on Plus I now have sub with any type of input.
