If you hold it right up to the grill, you should be able to see what's in the cabinet and be able to identify the drivers from the shape of the tweeter. They probably are home made. There was a theory at one time, back in the pre Theile days, that the port should be the same size as the woofer. Ports were bigger back in those times.
