artto
It's about time to replace the electrolytics in my Luxman MB3045 since I will probably be using these to power the 402/K69 or TAD when I get them. I already have some replacements from Newark but I was thinking of using a higher quality cap like Auricaps but the size of these things are huge and don't fit in the slim 1.75" (OD) chassis. These are 22microfarad/315V caps (four). Any suggestions on a similar quality cap that would fit? It seems Wondercaps are no longer around either. JL Sargent
How bout some Jensens? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jensen-22uf-450V-Axial-Electrolytic-Capacitor-Audio-/180660721049?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1037d599
Guest " "
a side note....which you may already know...in some cases a need for a polorized cap is essential, so substituting film or foil caps for electrolytic's sometimes is not possible...mainly in PP circuts in some phase inverting circuts.
