tarche
I installed a new set of SCW-2's this weekend to augment my KSF-S5 rear channels. Having 4 rear/sides provides a really nice surround fill. Anyway, the walls where I put the SCWs contained insulation that was ripped up a bit when I ran the speaker wire. Since I didn't want to put the speakers directly into the pink insulation, I inserted a piece of cardboard into the wall as a backing and then placed the speaker module against the cardboard before tightening everything up. I can't imagine that this will be an issue, but have I created some sort of fire hazard by adding the cardboard backing? It sits right between the insulation and the speaker. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks. This message has been edited by tarche on 06-10-2002 at 03:18 PM
