Don Richard Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 I've pried the screens out of the K55s I'm using now. I couldn't hear any difference. I ran some measurements and compared the results from prior measurements and saw no significant differences. The earlier measurement with the screens in looked a little bit smoother, but a slight change in the measurement mic position made a larger change than screen/no screen before and after did. deafbykhorns Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 Then your choices are to extend the throat of the wooden until it is reduced to the proper size to fit the K55, or get another driver that fits that throat better.
