Dafishguy
Justin, Diana Krall "Live in Paris" in DTS has some of the deepest upright bass I have ever heard. Really makes my sub work. shakes the walls. She's jazz but it's because of her I like jazz. She's a real sweet heart and not to bad to look at either. pierceb
Justin, In addition to 'Live in Paris' DVD, Diana Krall's 'Love Scenes' CD has some great standup bass. -PB
synthfreek
Justin, are you more interested in bowed strings or plucked strings? I thought of stuff like Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings or maybe Gavin Bryar's The Sinking of the Titanic when I read your post not Diana Krall. Kronos Quartet might also fit the bill but I'd suggest reading about specific albums before buying due to their "themes". ------------------ Outlaw 1050 A/V Receiver Rega P3 Turntable AMC CD8b CD Player Toshiba 3108 DVD Player Klipsch KG 4.2s(main) 2 Dynaco A-10/V IIs(centers) Cerwin Vega E-706s(rears) Cerwin Vega LW-12(sub) Parasound PPH-100 Phono Preamp Vampire Wire Digital Interconnects & Speaker Wire
