joessportster
Anyone have any suggestions how to add the data and have it stay ?? Is there a bulk way to do it ?? I converted 400 Gb of music from WAV to Aiff Believing That Itunes would recognize the files "WRONG" On my hard drive the files all have there artist / album / track info, Move 1 album to itunes it shows up as unknown and I have to go into get info and type in the artist and album info (the tracks / songs keep there info ?) If you have a suggestion for a way to use itunes or another program i would appreciate it, This way I can take files off my computer and put them on the wifes and the info will show up Joe
Thaddeus Smith
Google "AIFF file tagging". There's really no benefit to using WAV or AIFF over FLAC, ALAC, and other lossless compression methods, and everything TO gain by using FLAC, ALAC, etc as it pertains to media management. joessportster
Thanks thad, I know about the file size advantage, and I am sure if i were more proficient at computers I may have chose that route, I tried to convert to FLAC once and it became Increasingly more complicated, Only certain players could use the files, then there was the re-convert in order to play files on portable, and I could not figure out how to save files as an album, It saved the songs individually Just more trouble than i felt it was worth as hard drive space was not an issue Of course Aiff is becoming a bit of a pain with the data thing, but at least my info is kept as an album
