There is a little wear and tear cosmetic scratches toward the bottom, but they are hardly noticeable. These speakers are for people that like it LOUD and CLEAR!!! JiminSTL Posted May 1, 2014 Share Posted May 1, 2014 Yup, great speakers! Have the 30s as my fronts, and 20s as surrounds. KV4 center, and I think they sound wonderful. Large room, high ceiling . . . . Hey, a question re the 30s and 20s for anyone with knowledge about this: specifically, I have a 7.1 Pioneer SC-35 AVR (rated at 140 watts per channel). It seems that for the sound to be really "adequate" (as in able to overcome minor room distractions, sometimes hard-to-understand English accents, etc.), I find that I need to turn the volume to about -28 or even to -23.
