The design was inspired by the sound quality of amps costing five times as much and have been used on many high quality professional audio projects. The basis of this amplifier project is the National Semiconductor LM3886 Series, or Gainclone Amplifier Chips. ampsandsound specializes in the design of highly integrated custom audio systems, and has utilized similar designs in hundreds of applications. 70watts into 4ohms, 50watts into 8ohms RMS. . . this is not BS amp. . . punches well above it price point and weight. Fully bench tested with noise below 2mv. 1.2v input get full power. Large heat sinks allows for continuous use without issue. We ran for 18hrs into 4ohm load and retested. . . still cool and right on spec.
