Lascala Question's

Recommended Posts

Had this thread posted in 2 channel and thought I might see if anyone hanging in this area would have some more to add ..... upgrades .. anything

Okay I scored these Lascala's from the very fair and nice Danocaster. I need to know just what it is that I have. I take these are some kind of commercial version ? What will they have for a crossover ?

Looks like the tops have been customized. Probably for easier transporting. They should have the original crossovers remounted inside the mid-tweeter assembly somewhere. You have to take them appart to see for sure.

Nope, not customized, just the way most of the "split Industrial LaScala" upper housings were made back then...that particular shape made it easier to lay out the upper housings two-high and side by side to each other to achieve a wider horizontal dispersion when they were set-up atop a two-high, two-wide stack of bass bins on a stage. Like I said in the other post, the front panel of the upper housing unscrews and the crossover network should be in the rear of the housing, mounted to one of the sides there. Smile.gif

Some of these were made with regular "square" upper housings, but most of them came like this.
