Diana88
Hello, we are new here, nice forum ... we are from germany. We have a Klipsch RW-12d subwoofer that doesn´t run. We can`t power on the sub. If we try it ... nothing comes. We try it a few times .... one time, only one time for a short moment of 10 seconds the display lights on and off very fast .. on and off and again and again, but only one time we can see this so. We put out the AMP and check them with our eyes, nothing looks strange and nothings seems to be burned, nothing smells strage. Our RW-12d is 7 years old. We use the sub not more than 3 years. The sub was a long time in his original package. New AMP in germany can we get for $390 (300 euro). The repair would cost about $155 (115 euro). But no one knows if it really possible. If we try to repair it for $155 we think that months later any other electric-part on the AMP will be go dead. We read (here) and in so much other forums that the quality of the amp in the Klipsch RW-12d subwoofer is not the best :-( We think about to buy a new, an other AMP for the Klipsch RW-12da, but we don`t know which one will work. We have read many good things about the BASH 300S, but we can`t found it in germany. Are there other good AMP they will work with the Klipsch RW-12d? Can anyone here give us details about the Speaker in the Klipsch RW-12d? From the Klipsch-Support we wait now some weeks for an answer of our e-mail :-( We hope we can find here some help.
Matthews
Here is what I did with mine. Very good results. Bash amp can be found at Part Express. Only takes some very minor modifications to the cabinet. If you decide to go this route, I can explain exactly what I did to fit tight.
