in another post on this ht section, ttk mentions setting-up a tv w/a disc for hue, and other picture ajustments. the blue color filter is VITAL to set the hue on a tv.you can get blue filter glasses from thx for cheap! go to:www.thx.com and check out the 'optimizer' glasses. the thx optimizer a/v set-up section on a variety of dvd's works fine for video set-up. avman.

Take a pencil and piece of paper and write your current settings down ( contrast 11:00 o'clock, hue 01:00 o'clock, contrast 09:42 am, etc.) then after adjusting wait a few days to become accustomed to new settings. Chances are you won't change them back.

Oh yeah, as I said before some laser discs have what I consider better video set-up screens than what I've seen recently. Of course I haven't been looking too hard. Seems like Apocalypse Now had some.

uh..ttk..those would be ROSE colored...cwm11.gif took me a couple of days to appreciate the more accurate, although 'softer' picture that results from tuning toward the ntsc 'standard',as well as turning down the sharpness Eyes.gif ever see cwm8.gifringing??
