absolve2525
I was going to pull the woofers on my Choruses to access the internal parts, but the damn things don't budge! Even pressing the back magnets from the inside through the mid horn hole, it was stuck. I just want to make sure there are no adhesives used, if anyone has tried removing their pair before. Perhaps I just need to tap em with a mallet from behind. I don't want to damage the fronts with prying tools. Thanks for any suggestions! colterphoto1
no adhesives, just a thin foam gasket. Yes press from behind but don't bang on the magnet with hard hammer, rubber mallet on wood block best bet.
Skelt
The the passive might come out easier or maybe not but I would try before banging on the magnet with anything other than my hand.
djk
Foam gasket turns to goo (with fantastic sticky properties), use a block of wood, etc.
absolve2525
Thanks for the tips. That foam must really be sticky!
djk
It's dry when new, turns to goo after many years.
