tube fanatic
My original All American Five amplifier concept article was written for, and posted on, a now deceased friend's web site. A few months ago I was contacted by a fellow who found my email on there. Many years ago he built something similar, but scrapped it due to severe hum issues and other problems. So, after some back and forth discussion, he went ahead and built his own version of the "Little Gem" which I posted on here a while back. He is thrilled that it is dead quiet, with no hum or hiss noted at any volume level. Anyway, he decided to expand his creativity a bit and installed the amp in an old console radio cabinet. Check out his video here: https://youtu.be/Uda_5NtWrDk He is now awaiting delivery of a pair of RB-61iis to go with the amp. Wish he were close enough for me to go there and hear this system in person. Oh yes, you should see the robot he designed and built some time in the past. His creativity is something to behold!!!
