If you prefer the stock, hotter midrange -- just remove the resistor that's in parallel with the K-55, and move the jumper to the tap labeled "3". These are being sold to make room for the Jupiter AAs that eventually have to take their place. I've been listening with these for almost a year, and the sound is very nice. Film and foil capacitors don't leave anything in the sound to detract you from the music -- the sound is clean and smooth.
