DizRotus
The speakers are too nice for my purposes. I'm looking for functional speakers that could be upgraded. I'm not looking for mint condition furniture quality speakers. My 25 yo son would trash them in a month. These Kg4s are excellent operationally and cosmetically. The only blemish noted was a light spot smaller than a dime on the top of one. With little effort that could be resolved. They were purchased new by the seller. The have not had any work done to them. As indicated in the Craigslist ad, the seller is willing to entertain offers below the asking price. We were too far apart. I told the seller that I can't pay a premium for the fine furniture appearance, but, if I were him, I wouldn't sell them for what I would be willing to pay. IMO, they're worth the asking price and definitely worth any price negotiated less than asking. If a forum member is interested in purchasing these, I could collect them and safely store them in a warehouse in Birmingham, MI until other arrangements could be made. Using my Pono player, a battery booster and a mildly hot-rodded $5 TDA7297 amp, Dave Brubeck and Eric Clapton sounded superb from these speakers. I wish they weren't so nice, therefore, not worth so much. I mentioned the Klipsch forums. The seller might post them here. He's in no hurry. jimjimbo
What did you offer that was not accepted?
DizRotus
He would accept less than $300 but wants more than they are worth to me. Make him an offer. You'll not get anything more specific out of me. Edited October 17, 2015 by DizRotus
