toomanyspeakers
I have been away from the forum for a few years. I am however enjoying a pair of Heresy 1.5 speakers (build mid 1984). I really respect the opinion of the forum members so my question is this. Is it worth up grading to Heresy III speakers. Is there really that much of an improvement? My current setup sounds good to me the room just seems well with the current speakers.
jimjimbo
If your current setup sounds pretty good, then no, it's not worth upgrading (especially considering the cost). I would recommend updating the capacitors in the crossovers with Dayton Precision Audio caps (1%) from Parts Express, and I think you'll be more than happy for a long time to come....

Frzninvt
You can only upgrade the HII with the square input connector on the back to an HIII with the kit sold by Klipsch, unless you want to cut a hole yourself in the backboard. All the drivers are mounted flush on the HII & HIII.
