oogins
I rented this movie, as a recommendation from the guy working at the video rental store. I watched it, keeping an open mind for I didn't know what to expect. What an incredible movie! This is the best movie I've seen in years. It has such an uplifting story. It was so good I had to watch it again. It's 10 times better the second time through. You pick up little things that were missed the first time. Who else has seen this amazing movie? Quinze! dblue
Just watched it, truly unbelievable. If you liked it, try City of the Lost Children by the same director. This one is much darker, to be sure, but great visuals and an awesome story.
synthfreek
I've been ranting and raving about this for a while now. It is stunning. The overhead sweep shot of Amelie skipping stones(where it sweeps from overhead to the perspective of the water surface towards where she is skipping the the stones) has to be one of the best shots in movie history. Also agreed that City Of Lost Children is GREAT as well. Almost as good is Delicatessen which is one of the most requested titles for a domestic DVD release.
