XciteMe
I have an almost-complete Klipsch setup (RP-260F and RP-440C front and the R-112SW), now I just need to get the rear surrounds for my 5.1 setup and I'm looking at the RP-240S. I have existing keyhole mounts on my walls (they are drilled into wood studs so they're very strong), can somebody confirm that you can mount the 240/250S on a single keyhole wall mount? Thanks. Karsoncookie
Aren't those like less than 20 lbs ? ,Assuming a good decent strength, quality, and embedded length screw, couldn't like virtually anything be keyhole hung? If they have a hole, they have a hole. If not , drill one. If it's an acoustic hole issue, slather screw head and hole in RTV when hanging. Just being logical. Super basic stuff. RoboKlipsch
Yes. They are a sealed unit and come with a keyhole mount on the backside. It may seem a bit scary hanging something by one peg/nail/screw but you can hang a lot more than that especially using a stud.
Paducah Home Theater
Theoretically it should be fine, but most people just use a screw. I've seen a guy try to use an actual keyhole mount on a surround that had a keyhole and surprisingly it didn't work even though the size should have been correct. Barring something like that it should be fine. Worst case swap that out for a screw.
