The K-400 aluminum born was replaced with the K-401 composite/structural foam horn in 1987, on the LaScala and Klipschorn.

The AL-3 crossover was introduced in 1989.

Oh, I get it. You were indicating that Klipsch dating of 1959/60 was off. I misunderstood.

It would still be cool if a Klipsch employee from the early 90's would chime in. This would be easy-peasy for them.

Okay. Klipsch has responded and says, wait for it......ta da...

they were made in Jan 92.

Now how do they come up with that? I buy 92, but Jan?

Oh well, now to troll the La Scala side to see if every owner out there feels they need to rebuild/replace their crossover's after 20 or so years.

Just to reply, I had my AL3 crossovers rebuilt by Bob Crites and even while I don't think I have golden ears, they sound incredibly better. I mean a lot!

And as I said, I don't have Golden ears.

Thanks Bob Crites. He was fast in turnaround and did an excellent job.
