Itunes - Windows Phone or USB

In free trial period for iTunes.  I use a flash drive to play tunes in my car.  I have a Nokia Windows 8 phone.  How can I get my iTunes music over to one of these so I can play it in my car?

Disclaimer:  I am no iTunes expert.  The only dealings with it that I've had have been pretty frustrating.  It's very proprietary.  You have to assign a device to the playlist and it's virtually impossible to transfer it.  Member Thasddeussmith is an "I" guy as well as others.  Take their advice over what I've said if they give you information contrary to mine.
