Firefox question

I use Mozilla's Firefox as a browser.

Also, living in the boonies, I don't have a dedicated land line for internet access, I'm using a satellite.  Since my needs are somewhat small and my PC is old/slow, I have their base package of 10 Gig/month (before it throttles down on me)

even at the throttled down speed it's better than I used to have when I had a dedicated line for it!!

I digress....

So, I have 10 Gig of use.  I notice a little video, I hate to call them pop up's but that's what they seem to be.  Firefox will start, I'll be reading something on the news and an image related to what I'm reading will start a video, usually on the right hand side.  It starts automatically and I don't want that.

Bottom line, how can I shut down ALL automatic video's?

I don't want them, don't need them and they just chew up my 10 gig needlessly.  I don't even have PC speakers attached so I can't hear what they're saying.

Appreciate any thoughts.

The add-on for Ad-Block that 2point1 suggested above should be installed.

Then check out these links to help disable autoplay and pop-ups...
