jazman
Andy, After four pages on this thread, there is an interesting article for those interested, in the April 2002 edition of Stereophile mag, "Sam's Space". Sam Tellig spends some time with Anthony Michaelson of Musical Fidelity. He has some interesting comments on SACD and the reason for the MF A3/24 DAC. My suggestion, save any of your SACD budgeted money simply due to limited software availability. I'm not recommending the product they discuss, but a good CD player along with a DAC of your choice seems like a good way to go if you want to sink a load into digital playback. It can be done in two stages to make it easier on the pockets. A good CD player to start and later add a good DAC. I'm still a vinyl lover! Klipsch out.
