Carlosrs
I am thinking of a Yamaha receiver, with separate 150w-200w amp for Klipsch RF63 Towers and dual RSW-10D subs. Being comparable models in power and features, would there be a difference in the "sound" between the Yamaha RX-V and the RX-A Avenge lines?? I know the Avenge has better quality components, but does it really translate to your ears??
willland
Tough answer. If upper level Aventage(1060/1070, 2060/2070, 3060/3070), then yes I would say "better" parts equaling "better" sound. IMO of course. Bill
Carlosrs
Thanks willland. What you are saying is that you can notice a sound quality upgrade with the RX-A 1060 and above, below that the upgrade is not really noticeable.

That is why I put quotation marks around "better". From what I have read, the upper model Aventage AVRs are built better and have better quality parts. derrickdj1
The better line of avr usually gives you the most control to tailor your system. This way you are not looking for a DAC, streaming options, etc. down the road. A little extra money spent now will save more dollars down the road.
