I agree with The History Kid.  All speakers should be set to "small."  Some AVR manufacturers tend to set front mains to "Large," for totally bogus reasons.  Setting them to "small" protects them, increases headroom, prevents phase cancellation or attenuation, increases clarity and may reduce frequency modulation distortion, etc.  Let your subwoofer do the heavy lifting. 

 

If they are still too soft for your taste, turn them up a little in the AVR.

 

Certainly re-run Audyssey ---- but First, read this: "Audyssey FAQ Linked Here"  It has the very best FAQ I've ever seen.
