sgtlarsen
Hello Thanks for your time. I need to know what the best Sub(NOT A SANDWICH)I can get for around $500. Thanks for your help. Klipsch or maybe not it does not matter to me. I just want the best for the money.
kenratboy
My vote: It is $550, but it is close, the SVS 25-31PCi: http://www.svsubwoofers.com/subs_pci_25-31.htm The bass will rock your world. If you are really serious about keeping it cheap, the best KSW (Klipsch subwoofer) you can buy, which would probably be the KSW-12. The 10" & 12" Polk subwoofers are also well-liked. Enjoy! Manuel Delaflor
If you really want the unquestionable best for your money you need to go the DIY route. For around that amount you can make a sub which is comparable to a SVS Ultra and because of that better than anything else up to a price of around $2,000. Voodoo chile
I would vote for a Paradigm PDR-12. Great sub for about $420. Nice bass, not real boomy. Enough to make your walls rattle. V
Stephen328
Heck, for $500 you could get a Klipsch KSW-15 online. 880 watt, 15 downfireing (nice). That would probably provide ample shake. SVS makes somes pretty nice sounding subs too though. Either will do great.
RWMIN
1. SVS subwoofers 2. Paradigm 2200 msrp is $750 or so but I found one at a local dealer for $500 and it has a peak output of 114 db!
Colin
I looked all over the profile, but there is still no place to say what you have in the way of speakers, what do you depth or punch? are you willing to assemble your own?
rogerjamesthethird
Hsu VTF2 esp if you cant build one amazing sub down to 25Hz, can shake the house but very musical to boot buying used might be something too

Dustin B
Strong vote for Hsu VTF2 if you can't go over $500 (unless you can DIY). It will sound better, output is close if not better and extension is better (I don't think the KSW15 is quite as good as the KSW300 was). Nousaine test data (25-63hz 1/3octave spacing max output average, followed by max output at a the stated frequency, followed by the average with the 63hz value dropped) KLIPSCH KSW300 - 109dB / 25hz~92dB (107.25) HSU RESEARCH VTF-2 - 107.1 / 20hz~93dB(106)
