padmakumar
Is anyone here know what is the type of passive crossover filter and order of the filter in Klipsch RF7III speaker? In the spec, its just mentioned 1000Hz as crossover freq. Thanks in advance.
Deang
Current production, so no way to tell unless someone removes one and reverse engineers the circuit.
moray james
I am just curious what difference it makes to you? I do understand if you are into filter design but for the average consumer you listen and decide if you like or don't like and purchase or not. At a guess the woofer is 12 db/octave and the tweeter is 18db/octave but that is just a guess. User reports seem to confirm these are a step up from the RF7 ll so enough of a nod there for anyone interested to decide to search out a pair to audition if they think they would like a set. I would like to hear a pair but the local shops are not worth going to the sound there is so bad, so I would have to find an owner happy to let a tramp drop in for a demonstration and I am not interested to do that but meeting members is good and always interesting. Have met a couple of local members in the last few months who dropped by for a listen to the modified H3 I have. It does not hurt to network experience and possible contacts with other members. I am sure there must be more in the Calgary area? I have a plan to have my horns all put away and my Karson K-Tubes back up and running some time in the near future but I have this set of Tannoy Mercury 7.2 speakers which I modified which are eating up a lot of my time these days they are way too good for what they cost. They are providing a very worth while distraction.
