Harbormaster
Usually a newer model {R-120SW} cost more because improvements take time and money for R&D and tooling. The R-12SW in production since 2014 was selling online two weeks ago for $449 and the new improved model {R-120SW} is listed in several places for $359? I was seriously considering buying the R-12SW for a few months and almost purchased it for $449. Best Buy had a few open box R-12SW for $379 so I when I went to the store there was a R-120SW that was returned after a week because the purchaser said it was not comparable with his system and discounted to $305. The. Speaker looked new and was returnable if I was not satisfied. The new speaker sounds good but I question if the discountinued R-12SW was a better speaker? Paducah Home Theater
Judging a speakers quality based on the price of legit returned open box items probably isn't the best plan.
