MRH
I recently just purchase the RF3-II, RS3II, RC3II, and the KSW-12. To power all this I purchase the new Denon AVR-1803. It comes with 80 watts per channel and second room support with all the bells and whistles. The Denon AVR - 3803 is quite a step up at 110 watts per channel and some extra's. I'm not looking to put any concerts on for my neighborhood but want to enjoy movies with a punch and Music with smooth quality sound. Thank for you help and input. lynnm
Either unit will provide plently of power to drive your RF 3 speakers with considerable dynamic headroom available. FWIW I run KLF30's with a 35 watt per channel amp and can drive then well in excess of reasonable listening volumes.
JohnA
The difference between 80 and 110 watts is 1.4 dB. That is essentially inaudible. The 3803 may sound better, but it won't be because of the extra power. John
PYRO
The 3803 has some nice features i.e. adjustable crossover.
prodj101
yep, albright is right. you gain 3 db everytime you double the output, so adding 30 watts to 80 really won't get you anywhere else.
MRH
Thanks for input. I thought maybe I was leaving myself a bit short but I fell better now. I can't wait until they get here!!
