Erik Mandaville
Hey, Are the Klipschorn and La Scala tweeters/drivers one and the same? In otherwords, if a given tweeter fit the mounting position and holes on a klipschorn -- and in fact came from a klipschorn, would it fit exactly the same in a La Scala? Any thoughts or knowledge is appreciated! Thanks, Erik
Tom Mobley
Yes. But keep in mind that there's a couple different types of these tweeters when considered from the electrical, sonic points of view. K-77-V is the older, alnico magnet version, has a round magnet. K-77-M is the later square mud magnet variety. Many claim that the alnico sounds better although the mud magnet series is claimed to go higher before pooping out. JohnA
Yes; all K-77s will fit all Heritage models. However, think about how they're mounted, short wood screws from the back. If they were different, you could drill new holes easily.

Q-Man
My two pairs of Klipschorns have factory "Z" brackets on the tweeter horn, meaning that they are flush mounted. My LaScalas are not. The tweeters are the same, but how they are mounted is different.
