srrrcreat Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I'm running two Klipsch RP-280F speakers in a 2-channel 100W per channel stereo system for music only, not a surround sound home theater set-up. Just got a new PSB Alpha S10 150W 10-inch subwoofer that will sit in the center below the TV in the photo (that's not the PSB in the photo). The subwoofer has rear controls: 0 to 10 Bass Level, 50 to 150 and LFE Crossover, as well as a 0 and 180 Phase switch. What would be good initial settings for all three? 6 on the Bass Level? 80 or 90 on the Crossover? 0 on the Phase switch? I sit about 10 feet in front of the system. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. :-) Quote
wuzzzer Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Those settings look good. And remember, a sub's placement in a room will tremendously affect its output and how it sounds at your listening position. If at all possible, experiment with different locations that may sound much better than where you described. 1 Quote
AndreG. Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 This may sound stupid, but You can also perform what is known as the "sub-woofer-crawl". You place the sub on Your sofa ect. and "crawl" around the room, on your knees. The spot where the sound is best, is the place the sub should go to. 1 Quote
